GRAPE VARIETIES Grenache 75 % Mourvèdre 15 % Syrah 10 % WINEMAKING The harvest is done manually. At the cellar reception, the grapes are crushed and destemmed and the vinification follows a traditional method in stainless steel tanks: during the fermentation, the temperature is under control and a long maceration takes place during approximately 3 weeks to extract an optimum of colour, flavours, and tannins. The Malolactic fermentation and final blending are realized later in the winter. This 2018 vintage in particular was aged during 5 years in concrete tanks before the bottling. TASTING NOTES The wine has a deep red colour with orange highlights and it presents a powerful nose with humus, leather and kirsch aromas. The mouth is silky, full-bodied, with a long spicy finish. This wine is ready to drink but can also be aged for the next 2 or 3 years. It will be served ideally at 18°C and we advise to decant it in a carafe before serving.

TERROIR & ESTATE Located on the right bank of the Garonne about thirty kilometres south east from Bordeaux, the Château Couvent des Cordeliers is a small estate adjacent to the medieval village of Rions. The vineyard, located at the foot of hillsides and on hillsides over an area of approximately 25 hectares, benefits from different type of soils (sandy clay, gravelly, clayey gravel soils) and a good sun exposure leading to a good maturation of the grapes. GRAPE VARIETIES Merlot 80% Cabernet Sauvignon 20% WINEMAKING The wine is made with a traditional vinification, starting with a prefermentation cold maceration during 2 to 3 days and then followed by the alcoholic fermentation combined with a warm maceration during 2 to 3 weeks at controlled temperatures, in order to extract the optimum level of flavors, color and tannins. The wine is then aged in tank until the bottling which takes place in the castle.

TERROIR & ESTATE L’Aiguelière estate grows 18.5 hectares of vines spanning two prestigious appellations: AOP Languedoc Montpeyroux and AOP Terrasses du Larzac. The dynamism and quality of these two appellations grew strongly over the past decade, producing some of the most spectacular wines in the Languedoc region! Historically, Auguste Commeyras, winegrower and scientist, undertook a sweeping 10-year consumer study to identify the perfect blends for his wines. As a result of this research and through astute management of the vineyard and vinification, renowned wine critics consistently rate his estate’s production very highly. This cuvee “La Côte Rousse” is produced mainly from old Syrah vines planted on rissian terraces (sands, gravels and siliceous rolled pebbles) dating to the ice ages, allowing a very low yield (25 hl/ha), resulting in highly concentrated wines.

GRAPE VARIETIES Sauvignon Blanc 100% WINEMAKING The harvest is exclusively manual and in the cellar, the vinification is managed in a traditional manner in stainless steel tanks with a strict control of the temperatures and a minimum of intervention, in order to preserve the purity of the fruit and the Sauvignon varietal aromas. The wine is aged on lees for six months. TASTING NOTES The color is brilliant with golden highlights. The nose is of good intensity and exudes aromas of ripe yellow fruit completed by stony mineral and fine vegetal notes. On the palate, the attack is round and fresh, followed by a lot of volume in the middle of the mouth; a nice tension settles harmoniously, the whole feeling is firm and ends on a long retro-olfaction of lemon and stony mineral flavors.
