EXONIA PACKAGING - REMARKABLE PACKAGING MANUFACTURER

Packaging giant Allwell has launched the first fully automated technology line for the production of sustainable paper bags, and the Exonia packaging plant is the first customer worldwide to benefit from this state-of-the-art technology. The technology line was premiered at the Drupa Dusseldorf world exhibition for the printing and packaging industry. "The technology for the production of customised bags, made from 100% biodegradable paper, is based on a complex system of 47 servomotors that transforms the machine into a veritable mega-robot that integrates the entire process of transforming paper into complex customised bags through a breathtaking sequence of operations that follow one another quickly and incredibly precisely," explain Exonia representatives. Using the Allwell technology line results in a paper bag production speed of more than 150 pcs/minute, simultaneous printing and bag making, outstanding precision, low energy consumption and incomparable reliability.

EXONIA has signed the transaction for the acquisition of the real estate assets of the former bakery complex, previously managed by VEL PITAR. This new acquisition will allow us to transform the largest bakery complex in northeastern Romania into potentially the largest factory for biodegradable paper packaging in Eastern Europe. It is a strategic move that will expand the EXONIA group's presence in the European Union markets through the highway infrastructure connecting Iași to Western Europe. This expansion will not only increase the presence of Iași-manufactured packaging on the exclusive shelves of the United States but will also utilize the port infrastructure in Constanța. Furthermore, it will enable access, also by sea, to a market with tremendous potential for the consumption of biodegradable paper bags manufactured by EXONIA: the Middle East.

What strategy is adopted by the packaging manufacturer Exonia from Iași, pending the listing on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange. While waiting for the listing on AeRO of the Exonia company, Tiberiu Stoian, the owner of the packaging manufacturer from Iași, invests heavily in the production of biodegradable paper packaging. On this basis, Stoian will accelerate investments in the packaging area, taking into account the increase in exports. If in 2019 the exports of packaging produced by Exonia were below 10% of the turnover, they rose to 67% at the end of 2022. The main markets are the United States and the countries of Western Europe, where Exonia exports customized paper bags. In the case of exports to the United States, the transport costs are very high, almost 25% of the value of the orders, but the entrepreneur says that he will continue deliveries to America, because in this market the demand for paper packaging is growing.
